With two options – Standard and Heavy – the L & R Boat Latch Kit is designed to be a robust system that can handle almost any boat. Engineered from 316 stainless steel, the latch is free from welded weak points—delivering superior strength and reliability. All testing has been independently verified by NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia), ensuring high standards of performance and safety.

Important usage note: The L & R Boat Latch is not intended for road travel, only for use on the boat ramp. On the road your boat should be tensioned with the winch and tie‑downs. Always detach the winch and safety chain to launch, and re‑attach before leaving the ramp at the water’s edge.

Is it easy to install?
In general, the kit is very easy to install. Refer to the detailed instructions in the Installation Guide. L & R have approved installers they can recommend, or you can use your preferred trailer or boat team.
